I used most of the 12x zoom on my Canon S3 IS to get this shot from the plane's window. However, I wasn't very impressed with the clarity of the shots. I tried multiple times with ISO 80 and a faster shutter, it made the images darker but not sharper. Finally, the mountains went out of range :P
Any thoughts on why, I could not get a clear shot. For one, I think it was to do with the continous vibration in the plane which amplifies at such high zoom. Any ideas on how I can get a crisp shot of this view the next time I fly that way?

Ideally you should be using a smaller aperture (f/8 or lower) and a faster shutter speed (1/500 or faster)....that may mean that you have to use a higher ISO
6 months late but I guess we should get this blog active again.
Higher ISO would mean more noise. But I think its a trade off, will try it when I have a chance again. :)
